This Friday will be the full moon in the sign of Cancer the crab who likes to hide in his shell especially when probed. Check back and remember your new moon wishes and see how you did. The moon trines (good aspect) saturn which adds emotional stability to this moon. There is a square (stressful aspect) of the moon to uranus which will encourage us to be courageous and try something out of our comfort zone or perhaps we will have that lightning flash ...an ah ha ..moment of invention or clarity. Today is the 'new moon' in the sign of Saggitarius.It's a good time for new beginnings and for making a list of wishes. Each day work toward your 'wish list' and see how far you've come along by the full moon. How about wishing for an end to world hunger and inner peace for all...which will manifest as world peace. This peace is the promise of the new age. We are only in the beginning of the 'golden age of man'. It is the ending of the 'kali yuga', the 'black age'. The future is beyond our wildest dreams. Ancient Mayans did pro phesize but not about the end of the world. They have prophecies that go beyond 2012. Their usual warnings were about events of nature like droughts, etc. and events that were in a cyclical span which could be repeated in the future. An interesting event that will be corresponding to this time is the sun joining the degree of the galactic center at 27 sagittarius on Dec. 19th. Can't wait to see what happens!

Happy holiday to all. The winter solstice is almost here (dec. 8th) and I hope you are all enjoying the crispness of the winter air. Jupiter and venus will be in opposition (180 degrees) which is an aspect of awareness. It looks like an overindulgent time but it will be done with 'awareness'. Mars will be joining the sun in capricorn for the solstice which will energize us all. Let's try to remember to keep our inner light lit and share our hearts with others. Choose love not fear.

Mercury speeds up a little which astrologers call 'direct'. It really never went in reverse motion...only appeared so. Remember your mythology? Mercury was the messenger of the gods in ancient times. Now that it goes direct on the 8th messages and plans will work a little better...but wasn't it fun running into all those friends from the past? Look at all the restructuring you've done during the past 3 weeks...from cleaning out cabinets & closets to reorganizing the workplace. Good for you! This month we have 2 full moons. The first is Wed. August 1st and it is also called the 'sturgeon' moon. This name came from the tribes surrounding the Great Lakes. Large amounts of sturgeon were caught this time of the year. The 2nd full moon will be August 31st and that will be called the 'blue' moon. The planet mercury appears to be going retro (backwards) because it slows down. It begins today, Sunday, 7/15/2012,and ends on 8/8/2012. It's a good time to review, reorganize, redo... anything that starts with 're'! Talks and meetings with old friends may come to pass. It's a time for writing those thoughts in a journal, writing that poem that's been gathering in the back of our mind or playing that song that is in our heart. Reassessing our path and taking a moment to sit quietly and watch the thoughts flow without getting involved in them. Just breathe! Watch the breath in...and ...out...just NOW!

The solar eclipse is in gemini at the new moon. On a personal level the eclipse can activate a planet or house in the individual's chart. The eclipse in a worldly sense can energize certain points. Camille DeAngelis is the author of my latest, 'favorite book'. I've been up til 1am reading 'Petty Magic'. It is a great fantasy read. I loved it! I met Camille through a writing group which she generously hosted. One of the most important things I learned from Camille is to just WRITE. The editing phase comes later. She gives us many different tools to trigger our imagination. I posted a link to her blog which is very informative and helpful as well as fun!

The perigee full moon in Scorpio occurs Saturday, May 5th 2012. 'Perigee' means the moon will be closest to the earth at this time. Apparently, the time to see it is when it is on the horizon. The moon in Scorpio is nothing to be trifled with. She is obstinate, fixed and fruitful. Fixed signs are good for dying hair, reinforcing your 'to do' lists,deepening your emotional commitment to love and honor yourself # 1( all others are #2) and a time to remember those we love who have passed on to the other dimensions. Sunday morning the moon (stomach) and Jupiter(excess) will be in aspect...so, don't overdo the big Sunday brunch!

The moon is hiding when it is 'new' as is my great-granddaughter, Gigi. Aries is new life, new beginnings, the first breath of spring. So let's spring to it and enjoy! Remember being a kid- jumping, running, hopping, climbing... Let's get out of our chairs and hop to it! Happy spring***
